Hi! My name is Happy and I was named for my personality. I am an approximately 3 year old male liver and white pointer and I was dropped off at a shelter in North Carolina where Pointer Rescue Org found me. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. My foster mom thinks that I was an outdoor dog in my former life. I’ve only been living inside a house for a few months but I am learning how to be a house dog very quickly. I still love to be outside and enjoy running around my fenced-in backyard. I’m housebroken and crate trained, although it still takes some coaxing with a treat or a toy to get me to go to my crate when asked. Once I’m inside the crate I quiet down quickly. I’m full of energy and like to run, jump, and play with toys or other dogs. I will definitely need to live in a home that has a fenced in back yard or have owners who like to take long walks, run, bike or hike as I need to expel my pointer energy a lot! I haven’t shown any hint of aggression, even when my older pointer foster brother gets cross with me because I’m too Happy. Due to my prey drive I probably would not be a good friend for a cat. If you would like to learn more about me or adopt me, please contact Pointer Rescue organization or go to pointerrescue.org to fill out an adoption application!
Happy is located in New York, but as a national group we can arrange transport to approved adopters across the US (and parts of Canada).

Adoptable Fridays – Buzz
Buzz is a 3 year old Pointer/Lab mix available for adoption through the Longmont Humane Society in Longmont, CO. He came into us with a pretty severe allergy issue that is now very well under control with his diet and chinese herbs. He is still in a foster home because the kennels at the shelter make him nervous, but does come in on the weekends to help him find his forever home! He is a very active and happy dog who very much loves to be around his people! He would prefer to be the only animal in his new house, but may get along with the right dog. He does do well with kids, however, and should be a fun addition to the right family!

Adoptable Fridays – Jake
Jake likes to sneak up onto the bed when no one is looking! He is available through Pointer’s Rescue in Wauconda, IL. He has a very guilty look on his face when you catch him!! Jake is a handsome, male English Pointer, approximately 2 years old. He has no health problems and just needs to gain a little weight back, in fact he is incredibly athletic and well built. Jake has a lot of energy and loves to run laps around the yard. We’ve also never seen him walk down the steps to the back yard – he leaps about 10 feet into the air instead!
Here is his profile.
I tore up the bed
I will never learn. My Pointer has shredded 3 dogs beds and I keep getting her new ones.

So this happened today.
Acehole
I have been advocating to my husband that my 2 year old hound, Ace, is a good dog. But Ace keeps presenting evidence to the contrary. The sign says, “My name is Ace. My mommy calls me Acehole because I eat things like underwear, shoestrings, and curling irons.”
we share
We team up for everything. We share toys and even our food. This is the cardboard packaging from the recycling bin. We need more fiber in our diet! ♥ zoe
Storage Bags Scattered in Back Yard
Rambo pulled 2 unopened boxes of storage bags off the shelf in the laundry room and scattered them all over the back yard.
Magically Delicious
Gunther apparently figured out how to open the kitchen cabinets. He said that they were so magically delicious, he would do it again.
