Lukki and Maya worked together on this silent crime. Lukki (cat) jumped on the table and took the bread down and started licking it, then Maya (dog) ate it. The worst part is that I was standing less than 5ft away washing dishes and heard nothing! I knew sooner or later they’d end up here……

Adoptable Fridays – Missy
Missy de-fluffs any and all toys unless she’s specifically told not to. Only “Bunny” has survived the stuffed animal massacre because Missy knows he is her special cuddle toy. I found this scene while I was doing yoga and heard happy dog grumbles and saw 4 paws sticking straight up in the air on the bed. Missy was rolling in the fluff! Silly girl!
Missy is a sweet, 2 year old petite Pit Bull mix from Los Angeles, CA. She’s being adopted through the rescue group Pennies For Dogs. She’s a big cuddle bug who loves kisses, lounging in the sun, and any and all food. She and her puppies were rescued from the South Central Los Angeles shelter. The puppies were adopted but Missy was left behind. In 3 months, she’s gone from a total street dog to knowing sit, down, wait, stop, give me your paw, focus, stand, roll over, and down. She has recently mastered heel and is learning drop it and “enough” (re: barking). She is current on all her shots and is potty and crate trained.
Cats, squirrels, and sometimes other dogs are her kryptonite, although now that she’s learned heel, it helps tons and we are working on her socialization. She improves every day! She still needs to be an only pet and would be best around older kids. If Missy’s forever family can be confident leaders and reinforce her training as needed, she will bring them infinite joy, love, and cuddles in return!
Changing the blinds
Hi my name is Royal I am and Pitbull/Huskey mix at the time of the picture I was only 6 months old. While my grandma was changing the blinds I decided I wanted to help her. I always love helping around the house weather it be helping mom sweep or helping grandma change the blinds I always have to be in the way.
Adoptable Fridays – Starr
Starr is a beautiful pitbull mix from Huntington, NY. She’s being adopted out through Little Shelter. Starr was found as a brand new mommy. Two of her pups died but the other 2 pulled through. Starr was a fantastic mom and her babies were very well taken care of and adopted out on their own. Now Starr is ready for the kind of life she should have had all along. Two-year-old Starr is looking for a home where she will be the only pet in the house. Starr has spent some time in our offices and has proven to be well-behaved inside. She will stay by your side, enjoy partaking in some play, and then relax with a peanut butter kong. She is a bundle of fun! Here is her profile.
Adoptable Fridays – Lucy
“I will do anything to get invited to your tea party….I have no shame.” Lucy is 1 year old Pit Mix, available for adoption from Austin Pets Alive in Austin, TX. Lucy will put up with any indignity, as long as there is affection and attention to be had for it. Here she is in a unicorn outfit, hoping to be mistaken for a stuffed animal. Lucy is an excellent unicorn. As one volunteer noted, “She comes with Fairies and Princesses.”
Lucy came to Austin Pets Alive! with a severe case of mange, but she has been successfully treated and her hair is growing back. We anticipate she’ll be a real beauty. Lucy is a happy, confident girl who loves people and other dogs and she LOVES to give and receive hugs! Find out more about Lucy here.
There she goes…
This is Lita. She’s a rescued pit mix. She’s the most well behaved and smartest (by far) in our dog family of 5. But she loves to escape and run free.
Adoptable Fridays – Simone
Simone is a 2-year-old Pit Bull cross who is sweet and loyal. She lives in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
She needs a home where she will be an only-pet (no other dogs or cats, please) as she is currently not fond of others dogs, but she is very gentle and loving with people, food, toys, children, etc. Simone will never really be a “dog park dog”, but would enjoy a loving family who will love her as their only pup.
She is currently in training classes and will require a home that can continue her training.
There is normally a standard adoption fee for our rescues; however, as an incentive, anyone willing to adopt Simone will have her fees covered by Dog Shaming.
Do you have room for Simone? If so, please fill out an application at our website at lastchanceanimalrescue.ca.
Adoptable Fridays – Bella
Bella is an adoptable pit bull located at Response-a-Bull Rescue in Wilmington, DE. She is almost two years old and a big love bug with a goofy side that is sure to make you smile. Bella is an energetic girl who adores kids, loves car rides and snuggling, and plays well with male dogs. She would do great with an active family who would take her for runs, hikes, or even just play Frisbee in the back yard. Her current foster family is willing to dog sit for her forever family whenever needed! Pretty cool deal huh? If you’d like more information about Bella, click here.
Adoptable Fridays – Faith
Faith is a 4-year-old petite pittie with a wee body but a great big heart from Wilmington, DE. She’s being adopted out through Response-a-Bull. She is an impish comedian whose goofy, giggly antics make her the life of the party, and you are guaranteed to be laughing at her silliness every single day. She can be a bit picky about her canine companions, so a meet-and-greet with the other dogs in your life is a must–but, hey, who can blame her? We humans like to pick our friends, too! This little sweet potato thinks kids are awesome and gets along just dandy with cats. She lives for a good round of fetch and bones are her favorite drug. If you decide to adopt Faith, she will sparkle for you and work to convince you that her purpose in life is to make sure you have a good dose of fun every single day of the week! Here is her profile.
Adoptable Fridays – T-Bone
It’s T-BONE again! I’m from Friendswood, TX and I’m being fostered through Tails in Transition Animal Rescue.
You know, the “Pit Bull” that is scared of Chihuahuas. Anyway, my family is fostering a whole litter of kittens & I’m kinda scared of them too.
Could you please adopt one (Or two or ALL) so I can eat my dinner in peace!
