I adopted 8 year old Dixon last July. I swore I would help this chunky dog lose weight and be healthy! Well, after trying him on several different high end dog foods and getting only 1/4 cup morning and night, Dixon has GAINED weight and is now 18lbs. I think he has a secret stash of Twinkies…

Blessed With Trouble
This is 7 yr old Dixon. I adopted him in July/2013 (yes, this pic is old), and he is the most ornery dog, ever. Apparently I’m his 4th owner. Can’t imagine why… but I will be his final owner he’s in his forever home!
Superstar Memory Ruiner
This is Kenny, a two year old Dachsund – Minature Pinscher mix. He likes to eat vacation souvenirs that my mommy got from her friends. He’s not sorry…just upset he didn’t eat the other 3 legs.
The Fashion Intervention
Beckett (on left) and his brother Mr. Peabody (right) decided they were over their moms Uggs.
That’s what was Eaves’trough’ means
Oskar loves scouting for stale, rotting food scraps in the gutters and along the sidewalks in our neighborhood. He learned the “drop it” command but once he realized “drop it” meant he didn’t get to keep it… he started swallowing the found snacks whole before I can fish them out of his mouth.
Adoptable Fridays – Banjo
Meet Banjo!
Banjo is a one year old Chihuahua min pin mix who lives in the lower mainland of British Columbia, Canada. He’s currently being fostered by Last Chance Rescue. He is a shy little guy at first, but has warmed up amazingly in his foster home. He is great with other dogs, and cats. Banjo can initially have leash reaction in other dogs, which he is working on. We wouldn’t recommend kids under 12 for this boy, as he is very timid initially. Once he settles in, he is a high energy boy, who is full of spunk and loves to play. He knows all his basic commands, and is housetrained and crate trained. Banjo has had it rough before coming into our care, and really needs the perfect forever home. Here’s Banjo’s profile.
Walk a mile in my shoes? No thanks’ I’ll just eat them
This is my dog Loki. I went out to buy him more chewy bones (so he wouldn’t eat shoes) and he assumed the worst and chewed up my favourite pair of shoes.
