This is Rio. She decided to partake in happy hour too…she ate up all the hors d’oeuvers as Mommy turned her back to refill the holiday cranberry martinis! Bad dog…very bad (but well-fed) dog!
Hi there! I am Lionel, a handsome young Golden Lab mix with a curly tail that never stops wagging! I am being fostered through the Austin Humane Society in Austin, TX. I always have an adorable smile on my face and can’t wait to give everyone I meet love and kisses! I am ready to become a member of a wonderful family and I’m very eager to learn new tricks. I hope you have room for me — I am a pretty big boy, I’d be a great activity partner, too. Come by and meet me, I promise to put a smile on your face!
What could be better than a sweet, silly boy with a curly tail and a “Keep Austin Weird” personality? If that is a hard question to answer, then keep reading! “Lionel is such a lover-man!” He’s got a sweet soul, and he really knows how to put on the charm. Lionel is great at melting into someone’s arms or against the door to his kennel for some affection. It’s hard not to be taken away by him! “The name ‘Lionel’ just fits him because he is so crazy and fun!” He knows how to have a good time! He’s so goofy, and he knows lots of tricks; he can shake and almost roll over! Oh! And it’s impossible to forget how he is really playful and so fun –loving; he’s got great energy! “I love Lionel ‘cause he’s always got a smile on his face!” His coloring is so unique and handsome; he’s somewhere between an ivory and yellow lab coloring. He’s a great package of fun to be with and look at – especially with his forehead that’s a cute amount of wrinkly! Everyone loves his tail! “I’m so glad Lionel is staff pick!” Lionel needs the right active and patient home, so if you are ready for a dog that’s a perfect combination of fun, big, silly, loveable and charming, then Lionel is your guy!
Just wanted to add an update to yesterday’s Adoptable Friday. My pup JB has been with me for almost a week and we are inseparable. He is practically perfect, and hasn’t eaten my socks!!! Oh yes, and PLEASE ADOPT!

“Now you don’t have to get the other boot repaired!!” Bella takes care of the other boot, so now there’s no need to fix the first one she chewed.
I steal slippers and dog toys out of my neighbors house using their doggy door

“I jumped up on this picnic table because I am bad, and rules don’t apply to me. I just realized I don’t know how to jump down. This is my ‘please help me’ face. Don’t be mad.” –Love, Ella
Klemens was approximately two months old when we found him on the street homeless over two years ago. He recovered very quickly from his brief rough start in the world. Now, he enjoys the luxuries of life, for example, spending the evening wrapped like a burrito.
Zelda the chocolate lab ate an entire Chanukah-themed gingerbread house kit that was meant to be a gift for the girls I babysit for. She also smeared blue icing all over my bed.
