Amazingly, the guy not only came inside and waited quite gentlemanly while I cleaned it up, he still asked me on a second date.

A wanton for wontons
“Will listen for wontons!”
Moxie, an English Bulldog, has the breed’s trademark stubbornness down to an art. Yesterday, she was being quite the little brat, barking her head off (yet nothing appeased her!) and stealing shoes, so I told her if she could behave herself I’d give her a whole wonton when our Chinese arrived. She was a perfect angel from that moment on – until she got her wonton!
Nothing gets in the way of naptime.
“They tried using paper bags to keep me off the couch. So when they left the house, I showed them what I think of those bags.” Sadie is recovering from a torn ligament, and is not allowed to jump. We thought we could leave her out of her kennel and just cover the couches with bags to keep her from jumping on them. Well, she showed us! Nothing can keep a determined bulldog off of a couch at naptime.
Slide fun
Sweetie our 4 year old English bulldog does not know she isn’t a child. This is here enjoying the slide at our local park. “Mom watch me”
You call it an ornament, I call it lunch.
“I ate one of mom’s brand new ornaments less than an hour after she put it on the tree.”
Otis, my 5 yr old sons 16 week old English Bulldog puppy, watched me decorate the Christmas tree with my beautiful brand new ornaments. I was amazed that he didnt try to “help” me, just watched. Not long after, he came to me with a red glitter covered nose and mouth… and the remains of what was a sparkly red ball, all smiles and wagging behind (buldogs wag their whole rear ends 😉 He was so proud of himself…
Adoptable Fridays – Dozer
Exercise?! Bah Humbug!
Dozer is an 8 yr old English Bulldog who is available for adoption through the Etobicoke Humane Society.
Dozer is an incredibly calm, gentle and patient dog who is happy just going along with whatever is happening (so long as it does not involve running a marathon!). He loves being around people and would make a great companion dog. Typical of his breed, he is a low energy dog with light exercise requirements.
For more information about Dozer please contact the Etobicoke Humane Society. Their contact information is found here.
