Adoptable Fridays – Salus
I rolled in something smelly just before my foster mom was going to take me somewhere. I am a smelly, guilty girl. But please adopt me!
Salus is an amazing 3 year old pit bull from Durham, NC. She’s being adopted through the Bue Ridge Boxer Rescue. She normally very good except when there is something smelly to roll around in. Salus must be an only dog with no other small animals in the home. She LOVES people: from kids to seniors. She has a great personality and other than a fetish for tearing up paper, destroying squeakies (hey they are annoying anyway), and the occasional smelly roll-around she is a perfect dog. Please consider her if you are look for a wonderful girl to share you’re home!!
Adoptable Fridays – Darby
I nap gratuitously in my foster mom’s office as she reads up on training deaf dogs, like me! –Darby
Darby is a happy-go-lucky 1 year old boxer mix from Spencer, IN. He’s being fostered through the Owen County Humane Society. He loves chewing on rawhides, hiking, swimming, and playing with his 4-legged foster sister. Darby is deaf, but picking up hand signals fast. So far, he knows sit, stay, down, and come. No pain, no gain
“Guilty of chewing Mommy’s hand weights. I love her just the way she is! Love, Pastry”
Pastry, my Pit/Boxer mix, is an avid chewer of EVERYTHING left unattended. This time, my attempt at fitness was nipped in the bud.
Err Umm the cat did it?
Came home from a long day that included being in a car accident to my Boxer Abbey playing with the TP. She could work on her timing a bit, but I couldn’t help but laugh.
Jumping for Joy
Our dog Bella originally tore the zipper closure off the zipper while our kids were on the trampoline because she wanted to be up there with them. After we got them out and fixed the zipper she must have wanted to see what all the fun was about because we woke up the next morning to a 2 foot hole in the netting and the zipper torn off again. Based on all the doggie foot prints on the trampoline she was clearly enjoying herself!
Too cute to punish
I love to eat toilet paper when no one is watching
Adoptable Fridays – Glennis
I like helping my skin foster sister clean and put away her wooden blocks…never mind the teeth marks and slobber.
I am HELPING!!!
Glennis is a strikingly beautiful petite female Boxer with a deep red and white coat. She was rescued from a kill shelter in the Rio Grande Valley, TX where she had been picked up as a stray. She’s now with a foster family in Austin, TX and is being adopted out through the Austin Boxer Rescue. Glennis is currently heartworm positive, but will be treated by ABR.
Glennis loves humans, children in particular. Glennis would prefer to be an only pet in her home, and has a high prey drive. Her foster mom describes her as a homebody who also does well in public. Glennis has very nice manners and takes direction well from anyone she views as the leader. She is housebroken and crate-trained and is currently learning to walk on a leash. Lizzie and Rocco – shamed!
Lizzie: I ate my dad’s tympani mallets. Not sorry…
Rocco: I chewed two collars off my sister… in one week. Not sorry.
Who drank the water
Heard one of our bigger dogs drinking from the toilet, went to check it out and you can see my Boxer wearing my 3 year kid’s toliet adapter. It was easy to find the culprit… 🙂
