Adoptable Fridays – Aladdin
“Please adopt me so that I do not have to wear this again!” -Aladdin
In preparation for an adoption event that had a Halloween costume contest for the pups, I had Aladdin try this on. Needless to say, he was less than thrilled with his Halloween costume. He laid down like this and would not move… even for a treat! The only thing moving were his eyes giving me a look of shame!
Aladdin is adoptable through Gulf Coast Cocker Spaniel Rescue in Houston, TX. He is a Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund mix, about 2 years old and weighs about 15 lbs. He is the sweetest pup and gives lots and lots of kisses. He is great with other dogs and would be great in a home with kids. If I could sum him up in one word, it would be “delightful”!
Adoptable Fridays – Mickey and Minnie
Mickey and Minnie were discovered on the side of the road in Houston, TX in July. Their foster parents have helped them through the rough times and they are now ready for adoption through Busters Friends. Their favourite game is tug-o-war, and they prefer to play with Dad’s socks.
Adoptable Fridays – Evan
Evan, an 8 month old Pit Bull mix, is available for adoption from the Montgomery County Animal Shelter in Conroe, TX. Evan is a beautiful, sweet boy, but he really loves to eat dog beds and reading glasses! He obviously won the battle against his foster sister’s very nice orthopedic dog bed!
Adoptable Fridays – Zeus
Zeus says “I can destroy a pee pad in less than 2 mins, while my sister barks at me. I’m a little shamed of myself.”
Zeus (the puppy on the right) is available for adoption by Blue Ridge Boxer Group in North Carolina (cross-state adoption available for VA and SC). Zeus will be ready for adoption in 2 more weeks after his 2nd series of shots. He is a boxer/lab mix with the cutest little web feet you have ever seen. His sister Kersee also pictured has already been adopted. I think his pee pad destruction is Zeus’s way of telling me he is a big boy now and doesn’t need pee pads anymore. Zeus is 9 weeks old and actually hasn’t had one accident in the house in almost 5 days. He does love to pick up a pee pad and run around the house with it while his lil sister watches and barks. But he is the Mighty Zeus!!
Adoptable Fridays – Penny
I foster for Save-a-Bull Rescue of Minnesota. I occasionally bring my fosters to the office with me to visit new people and get accustomed to new environments and situations. This is Penny, she’s a 9 week old pit/lab/border collie mix. This was her second trip to the office and she already feels comfortable enough to go ahead and pee on my co-workers desk as soon as we walked in the door. It’s a good thing we’re all dog people!
Adoptable Fridays – Vixie
Vixie is a 10-year old Shiba Inu available through the Shiba Inu Rescue of Texas – she unfortunately came to us with a skin rash that she kept itching so we have to keep her in a shirt to prevent her from losing too much hair. We’ve also helped her lose over 5 pounds and her playful spirit is on its rebound. She is just loving life a little bit more each day! Vixie loves her evening walks and a good belly rub.
Adoptable Fridays – Ashton
I am a toy hog! I take my afternoon nap in the toy box, so none of the other chihuahuas can play while I snooze. I am a foster dog with the Animal Rescue Foundation in Mobile, Alabama. I am looking for my forever home and a gigantic toy box filled with the best toys ever! Check me out here!
Adoptable Fridays – Party Girl
I stole the dustpan. I only LOOK guilty.”
This is Party Girl. She is smart and extremely fast! The minute you turn your head she grabs something and runs away with it. In addition to the dustpan, she has stolen a loaf of bread, a box of leftovers, socks, tupperware, fish food, stuffed animals, pants, recycling, balls of yarn, fortune cookies, a bird feeder, a pizza box, and countless pillows. Any food she steals is usually washed down with a big drink from the toilet. She has the most sorry face in the world when she gets caught, but she is NEVER sorry! Her greyhound brother has been recording her antics on his Twitter feed.
Party Girl is a 7 year old retired greyhound and is available from Rescued Racers in Missouri. In addition to being smarter than all of the people in the house, she is very sweet and loving. She is content to snuggle on the couch with you…up until the point where she runs off with the pillows. She is quiet and takes her retirement quite seriously. Party is also kid friendly, cat safe, and quite petite for a greyhound.
Adoptable Fridays – Emily
Emily is a wonderful 2 year old black lab mix who was found wandering the streets of Mobile, AL. She’s now in the hands of the Animal Rescue Foundation. She loves to play with other dogs, and is very curious about cats, but does not harm them. She pays no attention to her sugar glider foster brother. She loves to ride in the car, and even complied when her foster mom pulled out the Halloween costumes to try on. Emily is very timid, but will flourish in the right environment. She is working hard on potty training, only having accidents every once in awhile. She does very well in her crate. This beautiful girl is UTD on her shots, spayed, microchipped, and ready to come home with you! Click here for more information on Emily.
