Bah Humbug!! I will not wear those stupid antlers, and yes, I have eaten too much figgy pudding, but I am not ashamed!!
But I would love a home for the holidays. My name is Sanya and I am at San Luis Obispo, CA Animal Services. I am housebroken, I love to play with other dogs, I am very affectionate and hilarious!!!
Adoptable Friday – Smokey
Smokey is a basset hound in foster care with Basset Buddies Rescue, Inc. in Minneapolis, MN. He loves books, but is definitely not a reader.
He is 5 years old and due to a recessive gene, is considered a “blue” basset. This makes his coat have a bluish/gray hue. He wants a home with another canine companion and preferably older children or no children. Young children tend to frighten him. He loves other dogs and cats too.He enjoys walks, the basset 500, belly rubs and long naps.
Adoptable Fridays – Buffy ADOPTED!
I can’t quit humping my foster brother.
Buffy’s tiny size doesn’t diminish her ardor for foster brother, Ben, a Lab-Husky mix. Buffy is being fostered in Davis, CA through the Yolo County SPCA.The poor boy can hardly stand up without Buffy humping his leg, because that’s the highest she can reach. I found her and her son abandoned along a lonely stretch of a major interstate the weekend after Thanksgiving. Yolo County SPCA agreed to take them in. Her son, Spike, found a home right away, but even though she was a good, protective mother and loves and trusts humans, it’s taking longer. Buffy’s natural habitat is the human lap and it’s obvious someone once loved her very much. Maybe you are the one who will show her that love again?
Adoptable Fridays – Bosley
“I swear I wasn’t eating cat litter, straight from the litter box!”
Hi, my name is Bosley and I enjoy the occasional litter box treat. I live in Randolph, NJ. I am available through Eleventh Hour Rescue. My mommy and daddy decided to put a cat door in so that I couldn’t “clean the litter box.” I went for it anyways, and then I got stuck! Mom had to help me out when she came home and saw what I had done! I’m ASHAMED! I need to get a job to pay for all the damage I do… I’m lucky my parents love me!
Love, Bosley
Adoptable Fridays – Deuce
My name is Deuce. I have a bed of my own, but I prefer to sleep in my sisters smaller bed. I’m available through Eleventh Hour Rescue in Randolph, NJ.
Deuce weighs in at a little over 90lbs but does need to lose a few. He loves taking rides in the car and just being with people, his tail never stops wagging.
Adoptable Fridays – Croquet
My name is Croquet and I am a 3 year old Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix from Missoula, MT. I live in a foster home with my 2 puppies, Thelma and Louise. I was in a kill shelter in California until Dog is My Co-Pilot flew me to Montana. My puppies and I will be available for adoption in February through The Humane Society of Western Montana. I am very friendly and I like other dogs and children and my favorite is to sleep under the covers with my person.
“When I see myself in the mirror I get scared and bark and bark and bark…..”
Adoptable Fridays – Dolce
Greetings, I’m Dolce! I am available for adoption through Wagging Dog Rescue out of Torrance, CA. Yes, I am as sweet as my name. I’m a 1 year old Cairn Terrier mix, a pocket pup at 6 lbs. I wear a shiny jet black dress that looks even prettier with a jacket on (and of course, some bling!). I am super fun and love other dogs. I’m a great cuddler and love to play too. I hope my Forever Family will have lots of time to spoil me and shower me with love and affection. I know you’ll agree that I’m as sweet as can be!!
Adoptable Fridays – Samson
“I’m Samson and I like to put on my best ‘pathetic face’ and whine and whimper until you pet me…then I lick you to pieces. ”
Samson is a three-year-old Chihuahua mix currently available for adoption at the Sacramento SPCA. You can find him here, online.
Or at the shelter: 6201 Florin Perkins Road, Sacramento, CA 95828
Underwho?
Baxter. 3 years old.
(Don’t) Listen to my Heart
I disapprove of mommy’s future profession (she’s in vet school).
This is Kia. Her friend Stella (my friend’s dog, not pictured) had a playdate at my apartment since we had a long day of classes, and when she went to go pick Stella up she found my $114 Littmann veterinary stethoscope in pieces…they both had guilty looks on their faces but based on Kia’s destructive history I’m pretty sure I know who it was…
