Salvador is such a good boy and I know he tries but it just doesn’t always happen. (Note: yes I know it’s a clean pad, too gross to leave the evidence!)
Tasty Wall
I have plenty of things to chew but I prefer the taste of wall.
I said SPRING WATER, NOT TAP!
Someone’s pooch loves to splash her water around!
Adoptable Fridays – Chloe
Chloe is 7-year-old terrier/warthog mix available for adoption through Dog & Kitty City in Dallas, TX. She has been in the shelter for two long years, which is two years too long! She is spayed and micro-chipped, fully house-broken and walks great on a leash. She is very picky about her dog friends, so we recommend that she be the queen of the single-dog household. Chloe will do best with an experienced dog handler who will confidently take her on regular walks but will also be patient with her transition into a well-rounded and loved dog.
Adoptable Fridays – Duchess
Duchess is an extremely sweet pittie mix available in the Washington, DC area from Rural Dog Rescue. She’s older (about 7 to 9) but still has tons of energy. She loves to give kisses, play with her ball, and when she’s tired, plop down like a frog to the delight of everyone around. She has a sad back story – her owner couldn’t afford to keep her and ditched her at doggie day care – but all of us adore her and want to find her a loving home. Check out her profile at here.
Adoptable Fridays – Beasly
I destroyed my bed while my foster parents were not around, I want a nicer bed!
Beasley came into the shelter as a 4 months old male stray. He’s now 20 lbs, up to date on vaccines and preventives, will be neutered & microchipped next week. They live in Leesburg, VA and are being adopted out through Save The Tails Rescue.
Beasly is a gentle lil puppy, but will be quite large when fully grown. Beasley didn’t want to eat at first so the foster family’s 4 year old little girl hand fed him, he was as gentle as can be. He is great with kids and will be fine with cats. A home with another dog would be best for him, it will build his confidence to learn how to play from a little older dog.

Adoptable Fridays – Mitzi
My name is Mitzi and I am a German Shepherd available through the El Dorado County German Shepherd Rescue in Northern California. I am 2.5 years old and I have a lot of energy. I like to pass the day playing with my foster brother. I am great with kids and was raised with a baby and a small child. I have never been near cats. I do love to chase squirrels in the yard. I have a lot of energy and need exercise every day. I also like to play fetch, chase shadows, and go swimming. I especially like to chase the waves at the beach. I know sit, stay, heel, lay and my release word is “okay”. I cannot be trusted around compost, because I will eat it until I get sick. I do well off leash and like to keep my foster parents within seeing distance. Please contact the rescue if you are interested.
Editor’s note: The foster parents have reinforced the fence so she can no longer get to the compost.
Adoptable Fridays – Pearl
My name is Pearl, I am a Pit Bull / Boxer mix currently up for adoption. I am deaf so I can’t hear when my foster dad calls me or tells me to do things, but I am learning hand signals and also really love to cuddle.
I am up for adoption and the organization, 4 Paws Sake, that saved my life has lifted their 2 hour distance radius from Northwest Ohio to ensure I find my new forever home. For more information on Pearl, click here.
Adoptable Fridays – Cocoa
“Sometimes I lay with my butt on my hooman’s face! (I’m a pocket pup, so it’s okay)”
Meet Cocoa. She’s a sweet young pit mix from Detroit, MI. She’s estimated to be about a year old, and is a total sweetheart. If you’re looking for a medium-size dog, Cocoa is the perfect fit! This is as long and as tall as she’ll get. However, she needs to fill out a bit due to neglect. She absolutely loves adults and kids. Cocoa hasn’t had much chance to interact with other animals, but the little interaction she’s had has been good! She knows basic commands and is potty trained. She will be spayed and UTD on her shots before going to her forever home.
Cocoa is available for adoption through a wonderful family who helps save countless animals in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area. If you’re interested in learning more about Cocoa, please contact us directly.
