Layla is what all black lab pups should be, a whole lot of energy and a whole lot of love. She has one weakness and that is foam…Layla is up for adoption in Atlanta GA through Fulton County Animal Services. Whenever she isn’t tempted by the wonders of foam she is a really sweet girl who would love a family to call her own. She is house broken and crate trained. She enjoys the company of other dogs and loves kids, and would make a great addition to an active family.

Adoptable Fridays – Delilah
Hi! My name is Delilah and I am an 7 year old Maine Coon Hound mix at the MaxFund shelter in Denver, CO. One of the volunteers there thought I could use a break from the shelter, so she took me to her condo in Breckenridge for a couple of days. I thanked her by pooping on the kitchen floor within minutes of arriving. After that, I was actually a very good dog. Being an older girl, my favorite pastimes are napping, belly rubs, watching the world go by from the deck, and leisurely walks. I’m also good at going shopping. I’m nice to all the sales clerks and will wait patiently outside the dressing room while you try on jeans, and will tell you if they make your butt look big. I also like going to the coffee shop and getting a puppacino (whipped cream in a sample cup). Yum! So if you are looking for a nice, quiet girl, please come to MaxFund to say hi!
Adoptable Fridays – Joe
Joe is an adoptable blind pit bull mix. He’s estimated to be four years old and is with the Underdog Pet Rescue in Monona, WI. He is a sweet dog with everyone and every creature he encounters. His only issue is that he is so excited to run around and explore that he now has a number of little scars on his head due to his occasional lack of caution! Here is his PetFinder profile.
Adoptable Fridays – Eugene
Eugene has been with us since June. He’s about 4 years old and has been with the Animal Rescue League in Pittsburg, PA. He’s learned a ton thanks to dedicated staff and volunteers, and while he loves all the hugs and kisses he’s getting from us, he deserves a home of his own. We’re all stumped as to why such a handsome, well-behaved cuddlebug like Eugene hasn’t been snatched up by a loving family yet, but it could be because he was destined to be with you! Find out more about him on his PetFinder profile.
Adoptable Fridays – Vixen
“My farts make people cry.”
This is Vixen, a gentle old soul who was found wandering around the JFK airport last year, she still lives in the New York City area. She was initially super shy and scared and has come a long way, ready for a permanent home. At our house, she’s been filling the Rose Nyland role: sweet and funny and a little bit dumb. She’d love a backyard, but if you don’t have one she’ll settle for someone who doesn’t leave her home alone all day. Whether it’s lying in her bed while you work at the desk, hanging out on the couch watching marathons of Law and Order or going for a hike in the mountains, she just wants to be near you.
This is particularly charming when you realize that she’s just laid another nuclear-grade stink bomb. Vixen is adoptable through the rescue organization Bobbi and the Strays.
Adoptable Fridays – Gillian
Our foster dog Gillian is waiting for his thanksgiving meal. He is thankful that the staff and volunteers at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter in Conroe, TX who worked so hard to find him a foster home. We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner, and since I don’t eat meat the dogs got a lot of turkey leftovers from the family! He is a very thankful dog, well mannered and walks 1 mile every morning (on 3 legs). Please adopt Gillian, he deserves a second chance.
Adoptable Fridays – Captain Jack
“I think I’m a lap dog.. I’m not sorry. Adopt me and I’ll warm your lap!!”
Captain Jack is special needs because he is deaf. He is currently with Fayette Friends of Animals in Uniontown, PA. He does understand sign language. Captain Jack gets along with other dogs. He doesn’t like for another dog to sneak up behind him though. Captain is about 3 years old and a medium sized dog.
Adoptable Fridays – Harrison
While you were out, I escaped and defeated the evil crate and redecorated the living room. I just wanted an unobstructed view out the window, so I could see when you came home. P.S. I purposefully had tapeworms so you would have to smell my stinky farts for 2-3 weeks as I slept and sat near you.
Meet Harrison! He is a Labrador mix a little over a year old and is available for adoption through Puppy Hill Farm Animal Rescue based in Melrose/Gainesville, FL. This incident happened about a week after he was saved from being put to sleep due to overcrowding at the local animal shelter in September 2012. He used to be very afraid of crates, but after some training he no longer escapes, is not as anxious, and doesn’t knock down the curtains to see out the window. Now that the tapeworms are all gone, his foster mom doesn’t have to smell his silent but very deadly flatulence anymore. Harrison currently lives (and plays) with a standard poodle and a cat, but also loves going to the dog park, giving kisses, and meeting new people.
Harrison goes to the Gainesville Petsmart on weekends for adoption through Puppy Hill Farm Animal Rescue.
