I’m Wesley I am being fostered through the Austin Humane Society, in Austin, TX. They call me a goofy lovebug because I’m super affectionate and a lot of fun! Watch my video to see how nicely I play with others. I graduated from obedience school at the top of my class, learning lots of commands like “Sit,”Stay,” and “Down” and am eager to learn more. Hey, did I mention I’m housetrained? What more could you ask for in a great dog? I’m visiting at a volunteer’s house right now, but meeting me at the shelter is so easy! Here is my profile. Can’t wait to meet you!

Adoptable Fridays – Margo
Margo is available for adoption in Minnesota through Midwest Animal Rescue & Services!
I didn’t sneak out of the yard and sneak back in later, you just didn’t see me among all these leaves….. My foster dad still doesn’t know how I get out, it’s my secret!!!
Adoptable Fridays – Bud
He’s at the Whatcom Humane Society in Bellingham, WA. Bud is an energetic young boy who would love to be your running and hiking friend! He’s happy to play fetch and gnaw on his toys all day long. He would love to be a family dog and is secretly a snuggly softie who drools in joy when people pet him.

Adoptable Fridays – Lionel
Hi there! I am Lionel, a handsome young Golden Lab mix with a curly tail that never stops wagging! I am being fostered through the Austin Humane Society in Austin, TX. I always have an adorable smile on my face and can’t wait to give everyone I meet love and kisses! I am ready to become a member of a wonderful family and I’m very eager to learn new tricks. I hope you have room for me — I am a pretty big boy, I’d be a great activity partner, too. Come by and meet me, I promise to put a smile on your face!
What could be better than a sweet, silly boy with a curly tail and a “Keep Austin Weird” personality? If that is a hard question to answer, then keep reading! “Lionel is such a lover-man!” He’s got a sweet soul, and he really knows how to put on the charm. Lionel is great at melting into someone’s arms or against the door to his kennel for some affection. It’s hard not to be taken away by him! “The name ‘Lionel’ just fits him because he is so crazy and fun!” He knows how to have a good time! He’s so goofy, and he knows lots of tricks; he can shake and almost roll over! Oh! And it’s impossible to forget how he is really playful and so fun –loving; he’s got great energy! “I love Lionel ‘cause he’s always got a smile on his face!” His coloring is so unique and handsome; he’s somewhere between an ivory and yellow lab coloring. He’s a great package of fun to be with and look at – especially with his forehead that’s a cute amount of wrinkly! Everyone loves his tail! “I’m so glad Lionel is staff pick!” Lionel needs the right active and patient home, so if you are ready for a dog that’s a perfect combination of fun, big, silly, loveable and charming, then Lionel is your guy!
Adoptable Fridays – Gibbs
Gibbs, the Scottish Terrier mix, is being fostered through Medical Animals In Need (MAIN) in Phoenix, AZ. Gibbs was struck by a car and left for dead. He is now recovering and is looking for his forever home. Here is his profile (Caution: contains graphic images).
Adoptable Fridays – Mercedes
Mercedes is a 5 year old terrier/whippet mix at the Woodford Humane Society in Versailles, KY. She has to be the most patient dog we have ever had, because get this: Mercedes has been waiting for a home since January 21, 2009. Not a typo; her 4 year anniversary with us is coming up in January. We think part of the reason Mercedes gets overlooked is that she is a very athletic (and bouncy) dog, and when new people come into the kennel, her first reaction is often to show off how high she can jump. She’s not crazy, we swear! Once she’s out of the kennel, she’s more interested in belly rubs than anything else.
Mercedes has already spent 3 holiday seasons at our adoption center, and the best gift EVER, for her and for us, would be for her to finally be in her forever home by Christmas. She’s looking for a single-pet, indoor home and would make a great running partner or agility dog. Her petfinder profile is here and her adoption fee has been sponsored!
Adoptable Fridays update–JB was adopted!!!!

Adoptable Fridays – Sheila
Sheila is a sweet 3 y/o spayed lab/pit mix living at the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter for the past 2+ years waiting for her forever home. She is a shelter favorite to bring home for sleepovers, the beach, and offsite adoption events. Her favorite thing to do is shower her human in kisses, whether they want them or not! With her limited exposure to the outside world, she can be a bit nervous, so her forever family would need to be patient when introducing her to new things. She is great with kids and other dogs. For more information and her special adoption promotion package including no adoption fees, click here.
Oh Yeah! She IS a lap dog!
‘I like to cry everytime my mom is studiyng until she puts me on her lap. I’m a princess’
She makes a lot of shameful things she is sorry about, but this is the one that I find so funny, she just loves to sit on my lap while I’m studying
Dog gets the other boot
“Now you don’t have to get the other boot repaired!!” Bella takes care of the other boot, so now there’s no need to fix the first one she chewed.
