Lady got kicked out of daycare for acting like a jerk to another dog. She had to go to doggie jail for the day until I got off work. Basically I paid $25 for her to sit in a kennel and watch the other dogs play. Compass my blind dog does great at daycare and will continue going while his bad sister sits at home.

I sleep how I want…
My name is Cyrus and I have no shame in how I sleep. Even my brother Grits gives me funny looks!
Puppy Love
I peed on my mummy’s boyfriend’s neck, while he was sleeping. For some reason he did not thank me for this token of my love. (chloe) I probably did too (Ebba)
It is not entirely clear who was responsible for the peeing, chloe is the most likely culprit, although Ebba appears to be feeling a little guilty. chloe has no shame.

Brother Love
Chief (basset hound) and Duke (dachshund) are buddies. Chief always thinks that he has to be on top of Duke, especially when Duke is laying by Mom in the chair.
There’s something in the Air
Saturday didn’t start out so well. Annabelle, 5, a terrier mix, and her sister, Josie, a twelve year old bichon, decided to stand together and both trash the kitchen. Hopefully there will be no long term odors from the air vent incident.
“I threw up on the kitchen rug. While Daddy was cleaning that up, I puked down the air vent. We are a couple of jerks.”

Adoptable Fridays – Abbey
Abbey (the black and tan) is available for adoption through Southern CA Dachshund Relief. She’s good with other dogs and even lets Miss Puppyness, the deaf and blind dachshund, kick her butt when they play. Click here if you’re interested in adopting Abbey!
Adoptable Fridays – Cricket
“I use my chunky foster brother to stay warm although he doesn’t like to cuddle with me.”
We have been fostering Cricket, the smaller pug, for about a month. This 3-year old lady was surrendered to Pug Rescue of Austin in Austin, TX. She came in with fur loss and skin problems. The vet has put on her on a special diet since we believe her issues were caused by food allergies. Although she is still missing some fur and has hyperpigmentation, Cricket has drastically improved. She was in this condition for about a year and a half before her previous owners gave her up, so it’ll probably take just as much time to completely recover.
Cricket is also blind from cataracts and has bilateral luxating patellas (basically she looks a little bowl-legged). Despite these things, she has no problem getting around. She is a sweet, easygoing girl and loves people, children and other dogs. Her interests are playing with squeaky toys, being close to her foster brother, cuddling, napping and playing in the backyard.
