Nova is an adoptable beagle mix and is available through Critter Cavalry in Franklin, TN. She is 16 months old and loves pork rinds. My husband is also being shamed in this picture as he left the 6 bags of chips on the counter. he is 8 months old and weighs 30 lbs. She will probably not get any taller, but may fill out as he matures. Nova is very puppy like and has a lot of energy and intellect. She would love to play with children over 7-8 years of age, smaller children she might accidentally knock down with her enthusiasm. Adoptable Fridays – Sparky
This patriotic hound dog is Sparky. He’s a handsome and approximately 5 year old beagle available for adoption through Atlanta Beagle Rescue. Sparky is a bit of a hard case to adopt out, as both of his back legs have luxating patellas, but this only slows him down a little, and the vet says he’s adapted very well to his condition. He still enjoys chasing his foster sisters and howling at the chickens with his foster brother! When he gets in a playful mood, he bounces up and down, ears flapping wildly, and exuding happiness! He is crate trained and will go into his crate while we’re working in our home office if we leave the crate door open. He snorts and snores even while awake, and isn’t much of a talker inside, but boy does he have an outside voice! Due to his knees, he only needs short walks, and he is super dog/cat/people friendly. If you’re looking for a couch potato to watch tv in the evenings with you, Sparky is your hound! Check him and the other available beagles out here.

Adoptable Fridays – Jack
There’s nothing more embarrassing than being caught playing…with the cat!
Jack aka Jackrabbit came into my foster care from Heart of GA Humane Society near Mildgeville, GA as a cat chaser so I couldn’t resist snapping a picture of him actually playing with one of the cats after only 2 weeks here. He is a 1 year old neutered Jack Russel mix who is waiting on his forever home. He gets along with every person, dog and now cats!
Adoptable Fridays – Cubby
My name is Cubby and I have an identity crisis; I don’t know if I’m a puppy or a bear cub!!! (neither does my foster mom)
CUBBY is about as cute as they come! He lives in Pompton Lakes, NJ but can be adopted to neighbouring states through Diamonds in a Ruff Rescue. He is a fluffy, snuggly little teddy bear that is a Collie/Newfoundland Mix! Cubby would make a great addition to any family! He is dog/kid friendly and very affectionate! He is 18 wks old, neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and ready for a Forever home. For more information, click here.
Adoptable Fridays – Big Biscuit
“I pushed my foster mom out of the bed”.
Hi! I’m Big Biscuit from Roanoke, VA and I just love to cuddle, but I thinks my foster momma needs to get a bigger bed. Let me tell you about myself, I’m a fun-loving, silly, amazing pooch and might I add very handsome fellow! I enjoy long walks in the grass, trips to the dog park and nice snuggles on the couch. I am crate trained and get along well with most other animals, including cats! I love cats. I love stuffed toys, especially if they squeak, and chew bones and love rides in the car. If you’d like to meet me I’m adoptable through Angels of Assisi.
Adoptable Fridays – Ginger
“On rare occasions, I’ve behaved like a monster. So my foster mom dressed me up like one!”
When the Animal Care and Control Team in Philadelphia, PA placed 1-year-old Ginger into foster care, she was sick and depressed. Once healthy, we had a brief 2-week stint where she was a bit of a hellion (eatting shoes, destroying blankets, nipping fingers & toes). Then she learned her manners and has become one of the sweetest, snuggliest, and best dogs I’ve had the great pleasure of fostering! What a great learning/growing experience for us both 🙂 Can’t wait to help her find her happy ending.
Adoptable Fridays – Champagne
Can you give this cancer survivor a new leash on life? Here’s her story in her own words.
Hi everyone……I’m Champagne. I’m about 7 years young and just the sweetest little girl. I was given up because my family didn’t have time to take care of me, but the nice folks at Eleventh Hour Rescue in New Jersey took me in and are taking care of me until I find my new furever home.
I was taken to the vet soon after coming to 11th Hour Rescue and I was diagnosed with mammary adenocarcinoma (breast cancer). The tumors were removed and my cancer is now in remission. I’m feeling great and I’m totally ready to go home now!! I’m house trained, know basic commands, and am just an all-around wonderful girl who loves meeting new people. I’d like to find a family that will have me as their only pet.
While I’m staying at the kennel, a couple of my friends and I play with tennis balls which is my favorite thing to do. Actually, sitting in your lap and getting hugged is my favorite thing, tennis balls come second! I know I’m safe and loved here but I’d rather spend my nights watching TV with you or even doing something as simple as laying at your feet while you’re on the computer. I’m a simple girl…you love me, and I’ll love you.
If you want me in your life but you’re not ready to adopt yet, please consider fostering me. Either way, I’ll be forever grateful to you 🙂

Sugar is a senior Beagle foster whose tongue always hangs out. She lives in Raleigh, NC an is being adopted through Calvin’s Paws. She has no problem licking anything and anyone with her crazy tongue. Adults are creeped out by it, small children are fascinated with it. Other dogs know where it’s been and want no part of it. Adoptable Fridays – Salus
I rolled in something smelly just before my foster mom was going to take me somewhere. I am a smelly, guilty girl. But please adopt me!
Salus is an amazing 3 year old pit bull from Durham, NC. She’s being adopted through the Bue Ridge Boxer Rescue. She normally very good except when there is something smelly to roll around in. Salus must be an only dog with no other small animals in the home. She LOVES people: from kids to seniors. She has a great personality and other than a fetish for tearing up paper, destroying squeakies (hey they are annoying anyway), and the occasional smelly roll-around she is a perfect dog. Please consider her if you are look for a wonderful girl to share you’re home!!
