My name is Jewel and I am 12 weeks old. I live in Walker Louisiana and am being fostered by All pet rescue – SPCA of Livingston. My favorite time of day is breakfast and dinner, as well as nap time! I am playful and full of love and can’t wait to share it with a family of my own! I LOVE kids and dogs of all sizes! Cats are ok but they don’t seem to want to play with me. My previous family didn’t want me anymore so they dropped me off in some big scary neighborhood… but then my foster mommy found me and took me in. So my Christmas wish is to find a family of my own to snuggle with when its cold.. someone to play fetch with me and throw my favorite tennis ball that i love… a family to give me kisses, protect me, make me better when I am sick and to love me as much as I promise to love them! Here is my pet profile!

Adoptable Fridays – Alistair
“I have no clue who scared you while you were in the shower by knocking over the bathroom trash. Maybe if you let me in, I could protect you…”
-Alistair is always right outside the shower curtain but of course when the trash mysteriously fell he was no where to be found.
Alistair is a sweet 5 year old, 10 lb Deer Chihuahua (his taller build gets him a lot of compliments). He loves to snuggle while watching TV or in bed with you at night. He needs to be the only dog and a home in which his person will be around most of the time. Alistair needs and deserves his forever him and if you can be his person, he will love you with all of his heart!
Alistair lives in a foster home in Philadelphia, PA and is being fostered through the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society.
Adoptable Fridays: Rooney
Is your dog having too much fun? Woop, woop, Officer Rooney of the K-9 Fun Police will be arriving momentarily to stop it! Rooney is currently in NYC with Red Hook Dog Rescue. We adopt throughout the New England area. Rooney is a middle-aged Australian Cattle Dog/Chow cross who is great with cats and other dogs. In fact, she is much better as a 2nd dog so we’re looking for a home for her that already has a mellow dog in it… that she can occasionally herd, and generally stop from having too much fun. We think she’d do best in a home without kids, unless you really want your kids herded, which (as a mother of young children) I can say is a strangely appealing concept. Change is another thing Rooney isn’t big on, so she would do best in a quiet home without a ton of strangers coming through.
Our perfect home for Rooney is a retired person or couple in a suburban or rural environment, who have other pets and are perhaps looking for a companion for their existing medium to lower energy dog. Rooney is a lovely girl, extremely caring and devoted, and striking in her tan and white fluffy coat. She is medium sized (around 40lbs) and very easygoing…. she never actually gives Fun Tickets; you can always talk her down to a warning. Good cop!
Adoptable Fridays – Sammie
Sammie is a charming 6 year old beagle mix available for adoption through the Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation in Arlington, VA. However, he really snores quite loudly. Sammie is a sweet beagle who came to us when his owner passed away. He enjoys sleeping on the bed with his person, and is good with both dogs and cats. Sammie loves other dogs, and needs a home with another dog to keep him company during the day. He would prefer to have lots of time with his people. Sammie is not fond of being crated, but does well loose in the home with another dog. He appears to be housebroken and knows to ask to go into the yard if he needs to go out. Sammie is hoping to find a nice relaxing home with a buddy and a soft couch. Sammie is good in the car and enjoys a nice walk around the neighborhood. He greets everyone with a wagging tail and a cheerful attitude.
Adoptable Fridays – Butch
“I threw up under the couch cushions.”
Meet Butch! He is about 3 years old and neutered and fully vaccinated. He is good with kids, cats and most dogs. He lives in Calgary, AB, and is currently looking for his forever home through Misty Creek Dog Rescue.
Adoptable Fridays – Mr. Stubbs
This is my foster dog Mr. Stubbs. He is a white German Shepard and basset hound mix who lives near Alpharetta, GA. I am being fostered through Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. He has the full Shepard body and the basset legs. He is crate and house trained. He is supper sweet and gets long great with dogs and cats. He loves to throw his toys in the air and catch them. He is however high heart worm positive and will not go to his forever home until he has completed all his treatment. Here is his petfinder profile.
Adoptable Fridays: Lexie
Lexie is a young mastiff/bulldog mix who is nearly 90lbs and can make grown men cry with her farts. One end is drool, the other is gas. The middle is usually wiggling with joy at the attention of any human. She is currently in eastern PA, and we adopt throughout the New England area. Lexie is with Red Hook Dog Rescue, a small NYC rescue that focuses on special-needs dogs.Lexie’s favorite thing to do is roll on her back for bellyrubs… and then toot her contentment. Because what you really need when you’re bending down close to rub her belly is a weapons-grade air biscuit launched into your face in thanks.
Lexie loves, loves all people — truly she has never met a stranger. She plays a little rough for small kids, so we’d rather see her in a home with 12 and up. She will chase small critters so cannot be in a home with cats or small dogs. How fast can a dog with three legs run, you might think? FAST ENOUGH. Oh, yes, about the three legs thing. Lexie is indeed a tripod. It does not bother her in the slightest. She is healthy, spayed, up to date on shots, is housetrained and has basic obedience training.
Lexie would like a big (65+) male dog as a buddy/playmate, though… so those of you with big naughty boxers that need more exercise so they’ll stop eating mattresses and sheetrock out of boredom, consider Lexie!
She also has a full training scholarship so although she has basic obedience, her new owners would get free sessions with a good trainer local to them! We would LOVE to find Lexie a home in time for Christmas, either foster or adoptive.
Adoptable Fridays – Crosby
Crosby is a 2.5 year old neutered Golden who was brought to the vet yesterday with an ear infection. Later in the day the vet received a fax saying that the owner had fallen on hard times, was living in his car and was surrendering the dog because he could no longer take proper care of it.
EDIT: CROSBY WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO LAB RESCUE ON DECEMBER 19TH WHERE HE WILL BE ASSESSED AND PLACED WITH A FOSTER HOME UNTIL HE CAN BE ADOPTED.
Adoptable Fridays – Farrah
