This is Jacob. He is available for adoption through Eleventh Hour Rescue in New Jersey. He’s a 2 year old boxer mix who loves to play!! He gets along great with people of all ages and is friendly with other dogs. Jacob has to wear this cone because he had a cancerous tumor removed from the base of his tail. This hasn’t dampened his spirits one bit! He’s healing nicely and is almost ready for his forever home!! Check out Jacob here.
This is Dawg. He is in a kill shelter in St. Martinville, LA, the St. Martin Shelter. The employees here work so hard in their free time to find homes for the dogs in their shelter and have gone above and beyond what a normal shelter worker does.
I started raising funds recently to sponsor dog’s adoption fees to try to make it easier for dogs in kill shelters to find homes. Dawg is the first dog that I have sponsored. His adoption is paid for to any approved adopter. It’s time to get this boy out of the shelter. St. Martin Shelter’s number is 337-394-1220.
Wiley is a young, Great Dane mix, currently with Ruff Start Rescue in Westchester County, NY. His details are available here.
Can anyone say GOOFBALL? This is one of the cutest dogs ever! He is goofy and happy and so willing to please. He LOVES his teats and learned to sit in seconds flat just to receive a steady stream of them. He kisses non-stop and calms so nicely when you give him some lovin’ and attention. He has typical puppy energy that can be easily channeled with walks or runs and lots of ball or toy playing. He is a truly special boy!
“Even though I weigh four pounds and only have three legs, I will still find a way to dominate the entire sofa.” This is Sophia, a 10-year old poodle available for adoption through Luna’s House, in Edgewood, MD. Sophia loves to snuggle up on the couch all day. She only has three-legs from an accident earlier in her life, but that does not slow her down. She is a very small dog, so she would do best in an adult-only home with other small or well-behaved dogs. Sophia is currently in foster care where there are two other dogs. She spends most of her time following her foster mom around or snuggled up in her arms. Sophia would love a snuggle buddy to call her own! Here is her profile.
“I promise not to put my make-up on in the car anymore.” This is Gracie, a cattle dog/terrier mix available for adoption through Luna’s House in Edgewood, MD. Gracie is approximately five years old and weighs about fifty pounds. She looks like she smeared black eye shadow around her eye, but that’s just part of her charm! She has silly ears that go in several directions at once and big, brown eyes. Gracie plays well with other dogs and cats. She loves to be with people and is great with children. Gracie was left outside with little food and dirty water before coming to Luna’s House. She would love a warm home and family of her own this winter! Here is her profile.
Arnold is part of a litter of six puppies born approximately 10/27/12 in an abandoned garage in Detroit, MI. Home FurEver rescued their mom Sheba and dad Henry who were hanging around the empty house where they were living. Arnold, aka Arnie, loves the other dogs at his foster home. He enjoys playing with them and follows them around the house. He also likes to be with people and is perfectly happy to cuddle up in your lap or stretch out in bed with you. Arnie lives in a foster home with a cat that he doesn’t bother at all. He has a calm demeanor, but still has bursts of puppy energy and has fun getting into things. Arnie can be bull-headed at times, but is doing well learning his house training, puppy manners, and basic commands. He is used to being in the crate during the day. Arnold would do best in a home with another medium or large sized dog. He is going to make a wonderful companion for one lucky family! Here is his profile.
Hi! My name is Tina and I’m a super happy, sun-shiny girl. I’m available to adopters living in Texas through The Weimaraner Rescue of Texas. I like all other dogs and I’m pretty sure that the whole reason humans exist is to love on me and so for that reason I LOVE all people. I require lots of attention, rubs and kisses. I like to be held in a lap and told how pretty I am as I drift off to sleep. My hobbies include unrolling balls of yarn, rubbing my sides against things for a good scratch (like a bear does) and checking the ears of people, cats and other dogs for stuff that maybe shouldn’t be in there. My foster mom says I’m funny to watch. She says a lot of things about me, like that I’m goofy and silly and an overgrown puppy and quite a character. I like my foster mom-she knows how special I am-so I protect her home and am polite to her kitties and lean against her legs until I’m practically horizontal. We have a good thing going here, but I know it’s only temporary. What I really, really want is a person of my own. I want to belong to them and for them to belong to me for the rest of my life. So… I was wondering if you’d be willing to share this post about me? I know my forever home is out there, and I think you can help me to find it. Thanks for sharing me and helping me to find my forever home!
This is not the first time Molli has been caught table dancing. Who says seniors can’t have fun? She’s not ashamed.
Molli is in foster with Lost Paws in Phoenix, AZ. She’s a sassy 9 year old who is doing a really good job of convincing her foster mom that she has found her forever home, but she likes to mix it up every now and then by dancing on the table. Unfortunately, she’s not very good about hiding the evidence!
My name is Hugh and I’m an 8 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound with the Looizana Basset Rescue in New Orleans, LA. Hugh was found roaming on a rural highway in northern Louisiana in bad shape. Hugh is a sweet and goofy guy who loves walks (and sometimes demands them). If Hugh isn’t on a walk he’s on the couch being a couch potato. He loves doggie daycare, the dog park, and other pups. He also has his own facebook page, where you can get to know him and his goofy personality. To see his profile, click here.
Ringo was found as a stray and a wonderful family took him in and brought him to the rescue. He is estimated to be around 5 years of age and was just fully vetted. His teeth look like 2 yrs old. Maybe he’s just had it tough. He is now on heartworm as well as flea/tick preventative. He currently weights 17 pounds but ideally should fill out to around 20 lbs. He has such as wonderful and loving personality and gives the best kisses!
