We rescued Daisy from our local humane society. She is a one year old German Shepherd Cross. She has a nice cozy kennel for when we leave her at home but she was able to reach and chew my son’s backpack, my husband’s speakers, and my daughter’s fashion hat. Last week she ate my son’s bedroom door. She is a lovely dog just a bit destructive 🙂

Try giving her a large Himalayan dog chew when you leave her alone. It’s an all natural chew made from yak milk and cow milk and lime. They are a little pricey but it will keep her busy for hours.

BTW, she is a beautiful dog!

It’s only ‘stuff’! LOL The amount of unconditional love that Daisy will give to your family should overshadow anything that she lovingly destroys! She’s a beauty! Have patience, it will pay off a million times over!

Maybe that’s why Daisy needed a new family…..

Shes probably still teething, and uses anything to take the sensations away… bless her, just keep everything out of her reach

Is she getting an hour of exercise a day? A nice long walk will help her to not be destructive.

Think of all the things that went dangerously unchewed before you adopted her!

I adopted a shepard cross 14 years ago that was incredibly destructive. Years later I added it up to about $2,000. That stage of her life lasted quite awhile and we needed to dog proof the house and tire her out every day with lots of exercise. She is now 14 years old and after those first few months turned into such a wonderful perfect dog. The neighborhood kids would come over and ask to play with her and she would go on trail rides with me and still goes to the horse barn every night. Dont give up! She’s a beautiful girl. (My dog is named Daisy too.)
