Henry acted like he needed to go outside to go to the bathroom at 3am but got sprayed by a Skunk instead and ran though the house covered in skunk stink.

Helps the house smell to put coffee on a large baking sheet about 1/4″ deep and heat it in the oven at about 300 degrees. I keep cheap coffee for just that purpose. Also, a dog bath with 1/4 c. baking soda, 1 t. Dawn dishwashing liquid (tried other brands, they don’t work as well) and 1 quart hydrogen peroxide works great. May have to repeat and mix it only when you’re going to use immediately. Unfortunately, I know more about deskunking dogs than I ever wanted to know.
My Rowdi girl did the SAME exact thing on the morning of Aug 27. Going nuts to go out at 4a, gets let out and BAM! Literally, right between the eyes!
We’ve tried everything to remove the odor. Hydrogen peroxide mix. A skunk odor remover, tomato juice, coffee grounds, lemon, and Murphys oil.
Listerine seemed to work pretty good on my hands!
