My name is Boozie and I am afraid of my new food bowls.
She did not touch food or water for two days after I bought her new elevated bowls because I read they were good for Boxers digestion and joints. She wanted her old bowls that used to belong to our goats.

Are they metal? My dog refused to drink out of metal bowls so we found elevated plastic bowls.

Poor sweetie! Maybe take the goat bowls and elevate them a little at a time, say, putting 1″ boards underneath?

put the old bowls on top of a wood plank and raise it weekly till she’s at the new height. it took us about 3 weeks to get dogs used to height.

You changed two things – the bowls and the height. Dogs like one change at a time.

My pug was the same way…we put 2 of our “human” bowls in a stand and it took him some time. But by the time dinner came around he figured he better eat 🙂
