In response to Maureen: I think its good training.. If you have 3 large dogs like that.. The ‘Alpha Human’ must be in control for everyone’s sake, and well being.. Similar to a trained command dog. Its not mean!
Our late Boston would put herself in time out( the bathroom) if she did something bad. I would walk in the door, she would give me her guilty look, and walk into the bathroom and sit on her rug. She was a very good girl, so it didn’t happen often.
Cracks me up that they’re trained well enough to go sit in three different corners, but not well enough to keep them out of the trash in the first place 😉
What is the trick to train them for that???? My dogs would LAUGH at me if I even tried to teach them anything. They are mostly good and they are all small dogs, but my Sassy would thumb her nose at me. That is just AMAZING!!!
The training isn’t that difficulty. I trained my 1.5 year old Schnauzer/Poodle/??? mutt to recognize the timeout hand signal. When she sees it she knows to go into a corner, lies down and stay put between 5 to 10 minutes max (your mileage may vary). Every time she gets up before the designated time, I bring her back to the spot.
The dogs have no idea why they’re in “time out.” I’m sure they know their human is angry, so ears back, etc. But seriously, this isn’t teaching them anything about staying out of the trash. Great sit/stays, though!
It’s always great to see beautiful and well trained Pit Bulls. I challenge the idea that they have a clue their “time out” has anything to do with trash diving, however. Signed, another proud Pit Bull parent.

That is hilarious! I love it!!

I don’t ! I think ” the friend” may have an obsession with control.

As a first grade teacher, not even I could get some kids to sit so still in time-out. Well done, owner….well done.

I think the dogs know they are being punished. Their ears are all drooping down 🙂

Oh…poor babies! They’re really really sorry! They won’t do it again. I want to give them a hug and say…it’s okay.

Best dog shaming EVER!!!! “You get a corner! You get a corner! And you get a corner! You ALL get a corner!!!”
