He or she wants to be the dominant dog. My female would hump her male doggie friend.

When dogs that are “fixed” hump it is about expressing dominance. One of my parents dogs did this to their others all the time. And she was the alfa in their house.

My dog has weird social skills (rescue that didn’t get to meet another dog for the first year of his life) and thinks humping another dog is how you get them to play with you.
