Annabelle: “I’m actively trying to kill my dad, by standing behind him at all times.”
Owen’s: “I like to chase squirrels, rabbits, and cars”
Mom’s: “I’m addicted to thrift stores”
Dad’s: “I have a moustache” (he is the most ashamed of us all)

Hank, a three-legged Australian Shepherd mix, is our beloved office dog. He is a perfect gentleman, aside from his habit of sticking his nose up ladies’ skirts.
Charles is jealous when I am looking on my computer at dogshaming so he decides to lay on the computer to block my view!
I chew through seat belts in the car. Appropriately named Weimararner “Diesel” loves nothing more than chewing through the back seat belts in the car. He does it again, he’s a living room rug!
This is Jack, my 6 year old German Shepherd. He has an odd obsession with rocks. This one he is particularly fond of; he carried it over 3/4 of a mile from the creek at the dog park back to my car and brought it home. He even cuddles with it on the couch, and if the cats get too close when it’s on the floor, he barks and chases them off!

Helen is currently staying at the Animal Care & Control Team shelter in Philadelphia, PA. As a volunteer, I try to get her out as often as possible so she doesn’t go stir crazy. She adores toys, so we were playing ball. She chased the tennisball, but delivered a hulahoop to my feet instead! No shame; she was quite proud of herself for finding it. Helen would love a family who enjoys playing as much as she does. She’s young, but not a mouthy jumper at all! If you want to know more about me, click here!
Mulligan made his dog shaming debut on December 7, 2012. One month later our little hound dog is going to his forever home where he will have a (four-legged) big sister and big brother. He is also looking forward to stealing toys from his new human baby! Thanks Dog Shaming for your part in helping Mulligan find his match! Mulligan hopes that his other buddies at A.A.R.F. all find families as great as his!
Pipe down pups! What’s the excitement? Goodness these young’uns rattle my nerves!
Buddy lives in Cookeville, TN and is being adopted out though A.A.R.F. After 8 years of taking care of my special human in her quiet apartment who would have expected a gentledog such as me to wind up in a foster home with a bunch of young dogs or those infernal cats. When I was young I learned to respect my elders and not be running around jumping on furniture and house guests and all that. I’m not complaining about my hosts, they’re real nice people and talk soft and call me a good boy and all, even have some real tasty vittles and treats. But with all the wrestling and running and toy squeaking from these whippersnappers a fella can’t even get a good nap anymore.
What I’d like most is a nice retirement home with a human or two, a couple of leisurely walks every day, a good brush down to keep my coat looking handsome and a soft bed to sleep on. I wouldn’t mind a bit to spend my twilight years getting petted and watching favorite movies and tv shows. I know how to mind my manners in the house and do my business outdoors where it belongs. It doesn’t bother me to sit in a crate for a spell, but it’s really not necessary. I manage just fine in the house if you need to go to work or run some errands or whatnot. I like car rides every now and then too if you’d like to take me along, but I haven’t met many strangers or other critters, so I tend to be a little shy when they’re around. I don’t bark much, only when I’ve got something important to tell you. I do get real excited when I see you’ve put your shoes on because I’m hoping it means we’ll be going out for a little fresh air.

Freckle Face Davis needs a new home for the new year! He is currently living in foster care with a profressional dogs trainer and is available for adoption through BARCS located in Baltimore City, MD. Here is some more information on Davis.
The dog pictured, Miss Fire, is NOT a Military Working Dog but the dog of a Military member, SGT Kyle Henry who was injured in Iraq and who died upon his return to the USA in October 2011. Fire went to live with SGT Henry’s best friend in November 2011. The friend can no longer keep her and SGT Henry’s mother lives in a “No Pets” retirement community. Fire’s family is moving in 2 1/2 weeks and lives in the Tampa Bay, FL area. If you can give Fire a home you may not be helping a Hero dog…but you will MOST CERTAINLY be helping the beloved companion of a HERO Warrior who is no longer with us.
