“Honest, Mom, I thought that paint was dry!”
Skittles was supervising as we finished up a little painting project – until he decided to head off across the freshly painted floor. (Don’t worry, his paws got cleaned off before he could lick them.)

Faith is a 4-year-old petite pittie with a wee body but a great big heart from Wilmington, DE. She’s being adopted out through Response-a-Bull. She is an impish comedian whose goofy, giggly antics make her the life of the party, and you are guaranteed to be laughing at her silliness every single day. She can be a bit picky about her canine companions, so a meet-and-greet with the other dogs in your life is a must–but, hey, who can blame her? We humans like to pick our friends, too! This little sweet potato thinks kids are awesome and gets along just dandy with cats. She lives for a good round of fetch and bones are her favorite drug. If you decide to adopt Faith, she will sparkle for you and work to convince you that her purpose in life is to make sure you have a good dose of fun every single day of the week! Here is her profile.
“Someone abandoned my on the street so my foster mom took me in. Now I spend all day cuddling my puppy brother”
This is Ellie and she was abandoned near an apartment complex in Post Ballantyne, NC. She is a 3 year old chocolate lab and she she is wonderful, no aggression and highly trainable. Her foster mom and dad found her and brought her to a shelter only to find out that she was abandoned, not lost. She also has a sponsor that will pay for her transportation anywhere as long as a loving home is guaranteed. Her foster mom made her a page here. Please please please consider adopting Ellie!
Keno is a dignified gentleman at 10 years old. He lives in Georgetown, DE and is available for adoption through the Delaware SPCA. He was dumped at the shelter because his owners got tired of him. He lives my office at the shelter and he is a wonderful companion. His vision and hearing are a little impaired, but there is nothing wrong with his nose! The is Shadow, a Doberman/Basenji mix from Bay City, MI. He is adoptable through the Michigan Rescue Network. His most favorite thing to do is to play and snuggle with all people and pets. He also likes to chase his tail! He is still a puppy so he has lots to learn. He is crate trained and potty trained and has had whole days without accidents. Here’s his petfinder profile.
Hi! My name is Zeppelin and I live in El Paso, TX! I am a one year old Border Collie mix available for adoption through Great Dane Rescue of El Paso. I absolutely LOVE my foster family, including a tiny Chihuahua who I’m super gentle with, and a Labrador who I adore playing with. I’m extremely affectionate and really eager to learn, I know I’ll make a wonderful addition to a loving, caring family! I can’t wait to meet my furever family!
Buzz is a 3 year old Pointer/Lab mix available for adoption through the Longmont Humane Society in Longmont, CO. He came into us with a pretty severe allergy issue that is now very well under control with his diet and chinese herbs. He is still in a foster home because the kennels at the shelter make him nervous, but does come in on the weekends to help him find his forever home! He is a very active and happy dog who very much loves to be around his people! He would prefer to be the only animal in his new house, but may get along with the right dog. He does do well with kids, however, and should be a fun addition to the right family!
Hi there, avid readers! Adoptable Fridays has been such a success thanks to people like you, who help spread the word of Dog Shaming; it comes in the form of reblogs, retweets, shares on Facebook. It comes from the foster parents and shelter employees who work tirelessly to make sure every pet is taken care of, loved, and adopted.
Well, I’m here to say a big, fat, THANK YOU! Here at Dog Shaming headquarters, our own rescue wiener dogs, Beau & Dasha want to thank for from the bottom of their little furry hearts. And, to thank you, we’re going to offer everyone who adopts an “Adoptable Fridays” dog* a gift card to a pet store in their area.
*with proof of adoption.
It’s been over 6 months since Yadi got into something…but less than 24 hours after I get new shoes, they end up in his mouth. He’s not sorry.
The shelter AND the vet told my momma I was fixed. Surprise! X 8.
