Adoptable Fridays – Spud
Spud is an adoptable pit bull located at Response-a-Bull Rescue in Wilmington, DE. Aside from his panty-chewing habit, this goofy young boy also enjoys chasing bugs, taking car rides, playing with his canine foster sister, and making his foster mommy laugh every single day. You can learn more about Spud by clicking here.
Adoptable Fridays – Zoe
Zoe is a Treeing Walker Coonhound mix available through A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue & Fixin) and is fostered in Cookeville, TN.
Zoe showed up as a stray at a rural shelter in need of emergency medical care. She has been a hunting dog, and we suspect she was neglected and abused due to the poor condition she was in when she arrived at the shelter. Her front teeth between the canines have been filed down, which is a common practice with hunting dogs. Zoe is eager to leave her hunting days far behind her, preferring to lay quietly on a soft quilt while savoring a good book. She is initially shy with strangers, but will come around if they are quiet and calm, and especially if they happen to have a little bacon to share. She is currently fostered with other dogs, and has grown to enjoy their company, but she would prefer to be an only dog. She has not been tested with cats, and has a very gentle disposition with children.
Zoe is house trained and crate trained, she is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and is on preventives for heartworm and other intestinal parasites as well as fleas. If you would like more information on Zoe please check out her profile here. Interstate adoptions are available.
Adoptable Fridays – Bronson ADOPTED!!!
“To show my appreciation for removing my manhood, I peed all over the inside of your car”. Bronson is a Siberian Husky x Kelpie (and maybe Shiba Inu?) who is currently being fostered with Northern Victorian Sled Dog Rescue in Victoria, Australia. He is approximately 1.5 years old, dog-friendly, and full of beans! He’s been trained to carry a backpack and run in harness and is looking for his very own adventure buddy. He will need lots of exercise and rules, but is the sweetest, cuddliest pup around. To find out more, please visit the rescue group’s website on Facebook.
Adoptable Fridays – Silver & Sanders ADOPTED!!!
Little David Silver & Steve Sanders have decided that they have nothing at all to be ashamed of, they have determined themselves to be practically perfect in every way! They were found along with their mama wandering the countryside in central California and are now being adopted through Kings County Animal Services. They’ve been through a lot and are very close and protective of each other but so sweet and loving at the same time. Sanders is the protector and makes sure his little brother silver is always safe and happy. These boys were born and raised on the streets and now just want a family to call their very own. They are small little pups and will grow to be small dogs as adults. They are a chihuahua mix (possibly chi / dachshund?) and are little bundles of love. They are approximately 8 weeks old. Please consider bringing one or both of these little muffins into your family today 🙂
Adoptable Fridays – Frasier
“I can squeeze through the fence so when I go outside I wear a cone of shame”
This is Frasier. He is a super sweet 18lb poodle available for adoption in north metro Atlanta, GA through the Humane League of Lake Lanier. Fraiser is about 2 yr old and is very well behaved except for two things: he will chew on socks and shoes (we’re working on that), and he is a bit of an escape artist. He loves to squeeze through the picket fence and gallivant about the neighborhood chasing squirrels (now I wear a cone of shame so I can’t squeeze between the boards). Other than those quirks he has been a wonderful foster dog. Frasier is very sweet and intelligent and gets along very well with the other dogs in the house. He is reserved and polite but also loves to play. More info about Frasier, click here.
Adoptable Fridays – Lady Bird was adopted!
Lady Bird (as featured on Jan 18, 2013) has been adopted. “Birdie” loves baseball games and got to enjoy Pups in the Park at Nationals Stadium this past weekend (Go Nats!). She enjoys the 7th inning stretch and eating ball park hot dogs.
Adoptable Fridays – Maddie
Maddie is smart, playful, and very people-friendly! Maddie is at the Humane Society of Sumner County, Hendersonville, TN. She loves belly rubs and squeaky toys and playing catch. She is eager to please and already knows her basic commands. Unfortunately, Maddie cannot be around other dogs, so we need to find her a great home, where she will be the only dog. Here is her petfinder profile.
Teagan, Artist Extraordinaire
I helped paint too! When our backs were turned, Teagan walked through the paint can lid and “helped” paint the laminate floor. Note her tail was a brush as well!
Shoplifting or just Sneaky?
Rambo is a sneaky guy! No matter how close we keep him in pet stores, he always finds himself in trouble. If we turn around for just one second, and take our eye off him, he has already devoured half a cookie, or bitten the end off a bone! This obviously leads to us having to embarrassingly take the half eaten bone o the checkout and buy it – no matter how expensive it is! Which leads me to think – they surely must keep the most expensive bones so low to the ground for a reason!
