LOL! My Yorkie did the same thing to the night retainer I had between braces and my real retainer. Turns out it was made of the same material as her favorite flexible Nylabones, so how was she supposed to know the difference?
This has been one of my fears! My was a lot more than $500 unfortunately, but I’ve been blessed to have it for almost 15 years. I’m always terrified I’m going to leave it on the night stand and one of my basset hounds will get it!
If the guard is just because you grind your teeth and you don’t want to pay $500 again, you can pick up a football mouthpiece for a buck at WalMart or look in the pharmacy department for the $20 ones. That’s what my doctor told me to do.

My dog chewed up my new night guard! $375! I will never leave it out of it’s case again!

Leave the case WELL back from the edge of the counter/nightstand. Mine was too close and the case popped open when it fell off. :/

Why on earth would you leave the item where the dog could reach it? I think this one should be Owner-shaming!
