My chihuahua does this on occasion, but he knows when he has and he gets so disgusted at himself. I’ve even had to tell him it was ok, and I would wipe off his legs when we went back inside.
You look like my Bubba!! I would forgive….heck….I might not even notice! (Well, I doubt it but I sure could pretend!) My Bubba hasn’t done this yet but he has walked through his puddle before 🙁
My Pete does that! I never had a male dog before him, and I was happy that he was a squatter not a lifter. But that means he routinely soaks the backs of his front legs. My solution is waterless shampoo and paper towels.

my dog does this too! so relieved to find he is in good company. i keep a plant spray filled with water outside the front door to clean him off.
