Hero has many toys. But ducky…ducky is his true toy, friend, companion. They’ve had their ups and downs, but today, Hero decided to end their friendship.
RIP ducky

AHAHAHAHA!!! Our late lamented Maggie Spice had a stuffed pink chihuahua named Booda, that she carried around like it was her own offspring for weeks. Until she ate Booda. <3
My Walker hound just took out Mr. Potato Head, who was his first toy in his new home when we adopted him. Mr. P had (miraculously) been mostly intact for about a year and a half, but now he has some serious wounds. Other toys have suffered worse fates in the jaws of our toy ripper, but Mr. P had escaped mostly unharmed. Until about a week ago. It wasn’t pretty.
He is waiting for santa to bring him a new one! I used to have a dog who would play with one certain toy all year long. Then, about two weeks before Christmas, she would destroy it, knowing santa was bringing her a new one.
We had a new puppy who showed no interest in toys but, one year, just before Christmas, she tore open a Christmas package under the tree which contained a Barbie doll for my granddaughter. The result was utter destruction – the doll looked like it had literally been put through a grinder! We found bits of hair and teeny tiny chewed up vinyl pieces all over the house, none of which could be identified as actual body parts. I’ve never seen anything like it before or since. After cleaning up the mess, we hurried out to buy a new doll for said grandchild who was none the wiser on Christmas morning. We DID, however, put the tree AND the presents in the baby playpen my children had long-since outgrown to protect them from the new puppy. 🙂
my three have a collection of zombie toys that keep getting shredded and fixed…one is now a totally headless and arm/legless pink carebear…or now; a pink blob 😛
LOL, my Levi has one of those unstuffed skunks that he has chewed and ripped until it just looks like a black and white rag. But he keeps bringing it to me to play with him. Can’t count the number of toys I have restuffed and resewn! Just because they demolish/eat them, doesn’t mean they’re done with them!
We call these ‘2 minute toys’. Our Aussie will pick the stiches out with her teeth and un-stuff any toy in a very short time. Our poor lab never has a chance to play with them.
When Maggie gets bored she will once in a while chew or pull some stiches lose on one of her babies. I then take it from her and tell her it has to go to the Hospital and when she isn’t looking I take it and repair (sew) it and then put it back into her toy box. She will then find it and just go back to playing nice with it without tearing it apart. Go figure!! Most of her toys have been to the Hospital at one time or an other…………….LOL

My Bailey, a lab, just murdered her best friend Mr Chicken. May he R.I.P. I am still picking up his body parts around the garden.

My first instinct was to tell Hero “Go get a haircut!” But he is truly rocking his cool ‘do!

“The only good toy is a de-stuffed toy.” – Bear (who has no BFF stuffie toys, only empty carcasses he carries around.)

You gotta sew that Ducky right back up. I’ve been there. He will know that Ducky isn’t in the toy basket.
