Ahhh gawd I had this with my Chi!! In the end I gave up trying to let him out really late and now he has a litter tray to use over night… I get to sleep again! 😛
My Boudreaux (also a Boston) does this!! But he’s just so dang cute!! I’m convinced he thinks he has a hot date waiting for his late night shenanigans.
We have 3 dogs and if one wakes up to go out all three go. They usually wake up my husband. I go to bed later than he so I take them out before I go to bed and they wake him up anyway.
We did this a lot when my dog was a puppy. I’m pretty sure he was convinced there were wonderful things outside that could only be seen in the middle of the night.
My Min Pin used to get me up at 2:00AM every night, not to go out but to get water (I thought something was wrong with her kidneys!). We moved her dinner time to earlier and that solved the problem. Maybe that would work for this sweetie.
Hehe… my dog knows better than to wake me up in the middle of the night. Mommy’s much more accommodating when a certain furry somebody doesn’t wake her up before her alarm clock or her internal clock. Sassy’s a pretty adaptable little sweetie.
