My Manx did this too… he would lay over the newspaper and then start shredding it and eating it lol.. anything paper/cardboard (even my sons school project) lol
My cat does this! Tesla had a box that we were going to turn into a TARDIS for him but before we could he started eating it. I am still picking up cardboard from it.

OMG — I can’t believe I saw this! I submitted a picture of my Frenchie aka Beaver dog because she eats sticks, branches and wicker baskets!!!!!
