This big lovable goof is Samson. He’s from the Humane Society of Sumner County in Hendersonville, TN. As you can see, he is a sucker for a belly rub. We are looking for an extra special home for this sweet-natured Husky/Malamute as he suffers from extreme separation anxiety. Due to this fact, we need to find him a home that will be able to cater to his special needs. He LOVES people, is very gentle in temperament and is very good on a leash. If you think you may be able to give this wonderful boy the care he needs and would like more information, here is Samson’s petfinder profile.

I had a husky named Sampson, aka Sammy. Best dog ever. I hope someone comes to his rescue soon and rubs that belly till the end of time.

I have heard good things about Thundershirts for separation anxiety. Have you tried one?
Julie
Desensitization techniques work, it just takes time, patience and dedication to the dog. A thundershirt can work for some dogs with anxieties but it most likely wouldn’t work on “extreme” anxiety. Extreme anxiety in dogs is the same as a panic attack for us.

Awww I’d cuddle him til he said go away but my landlords evil and won’t let me have pets.

this is in regards to Samson, the anxiety plagued Husky: I am interested if he is still available. I am 54 yrs. old, disabled and retired so I am home 24/7 and would love to adopt him. I have a 14 yr old female boxer (Sissy) and a 4 mos. old feral kitten (Freddy) aka; Krueger, lol. We go for walks daily, and I live with my 17 yr old son, Noah. I am a very experienced dog owner and would love to help Samson out. Good day to all of you!
