Louie is 4 to 5 years old, living in Enterprise, AB. He’s being adopted through Alabama Pug Rescue and Adoption, Inc.
Making insulin? Louie the pug ain’t got time for that! This beautiful boy came to the rescue with severe untreated diabetes which had resulted in cataracts, rendering him blind. Surgery restored his sight and now he’s enjoying a new lease on life! Louie requires medication and a special diet for his diabetes, as well as thryoid medication, and his gorgeous brown eyes need drops every day, but he is a happy and loving dog who’s ready for his forever home. He is crate-trained and housebroken.

I love that he’s sitting on a couch decorated with pug pillows.

What a cutie patootie. I’m not sure it matters, but the abbreviation for Alabama is AL. AB is the abbreviation for Alberta (Canada). All that really matters is that the baby get adopted.
Cricket's Foster Mom
How were you able to raise money for Louie’s eye surgery? I’m fostering a pug, Cricket, at the moment who is also blind due to cataracts. She’s sensitive to light, so she can get around pretty well but I think her quality of life could be improved with her vision restored. Plus, she’s only 3 and has many years left to enjoy beautiful sights! Unfortunately, the rescue organization doesn’t have the fund for her surgery, so I’m trying to find ways to help her. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
