They became fast friends, and I adopted them 1 year ago. Now they are partners in crime!

Earnestine, Destroyer of Happy Birthdays
“I barked at a sweet little girl going to a birthday party, terrifying the girl and her mother.”
We are couch hogs!
We are couch hogs! Rescued Basset Hounds Redford and Gidget’s favorite seat is…wherever you want to sit. Gidget likes to clean Redford’s ears and eat poop, and Redford likes to steal bread from the counter and chase the cat. They hog the couch, the bed, the patio furniture, and the backseat of the car. They also hog our hearts, because we love them so much.
Serial offender.
Five month old German Shepherd Liza chewed up that wall while I was at work, and I made the mistake of fixing it. This is the second time in the exact same spot (and she’s since done it again).
I love my veggies
After mommy brought in the groceries I thought if I helped her unpack she would take my cone of shane off. But I shouldn’t of jumped out the window on the second floor and broken my paw in the first place.
Dog vs. Powerbars
Tosh escaped from her crate and polished off a box of Powerbars. After a powerful night, she’s surprisingly fine.
Am I squishing you? Too bad!
These are our chihuahuas Daisy and Lily. Lily thinks her mama, Daisy, makes a great pillow, so she sits on her – usually on her head – every day. Daisy doesn’t mind the snuggles and Lily is not sorry at all, even though she looks mildly ashamed.
PS: We adopted these lovely girls from a local shelter three years ago and they bring so much joy to our lives. I hope Adoptable Fridays helps more shelter and foster dogs find good homes!
adoptable Fridays – Laura
Laura says she’s tired of the cold weather she’s ready for the summer so she can go hit the lake or pool and go swimming with her family. Laura loves children of all ages and lives in North Carolina. She will do best in a family with small dogs or no other dogs. Will that be you? Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue adopts in NC/SC/VA.
Adoptable Fridays – Sherman
This is Sherman and he is a 2 yr old male Rottweiler available for adoption through Pound Dog Rescue near Kitchener, ON, Canada. He is a huge baby and betrays all stereotypes about Rottweilers being big and scary dogs. He”s looking for a forever home with someone who has large dog experience and wants a super affectionate dog to share their life with. This guy wont disapoint! For more info on Sherman please refer to the Pound Dog Rescue website.
Sign reads “I love nothing more than hugs, snuggles and pets. So much for the big scary Rottweiler stereotype”
Adoptable Fridays – JJ
This is JJ and he’s looking for his retirement home! He a 12 years young Pekingese (although some say he looks more like a Tibetan Spaniel) and is available for adoption through Broken Tail Rescue in Worcester, MA. He’s a pretty laid back little guy that likes his belly rubbed. When JJ was surrendered to Broken Tail Rescue, he appeared to be blind in one eye, and there was a prior vet’s recommendation to remove that eye. Since he’s been in his foster home, its been discovered that he needs thyroid medication (very invexpensive), and he seemed to regain some vision in that eye! Even though JJ is partially blind in one eye, and his hearing is not 100% anymore, nothing stops him! Since he’s a “mature” dog, you won’t have to worry about him tearing up your home or having accidents everywhere, but he’s young enough that he loves to go for car rides and for walks with his foster family! JJ gets along great with their other dog and their cat. He don’t like being excessively handled, so a home with adults is really his alley. What he really wants is a forever retirement home that doesn’t see his shortcomings as flaws and promises to rub behind his ears every day!
