Adoptable Fridays – Joe

“My name is Joe. My foster mom’s last step-dad gave her this “Welcome” statue of a dog because her door is always open to dogs in need like me. I broke it. I’m against being “welcoming”.
Despite Joe’s attempt to kill off my doggie statue, Joe is the sweetest, biggest-headed boxer you can find. Joe lives in Silver Spring, MD and is being fostered through Adopt A Boxer Rescue (AABR). He was covered in cancerous growths, emaciated & scared. Joe has had surgery to remove most of the cancerous tumors. The rest are slow growing & will not be removed. He is 5 years old & we have every reason to believe Joe can be adopted & will live for many years without further surgeries. He does need a home. Hopefully one with a female dog because Joe is quite the “ladies” man. He is housebroken, loves car rides and loves to snuggle his big ol’ head right in your lap. Please give Joe a chance. Adoptable Fridays – Samson

Samson let the cat in his foster home bully him out of his dinner. He has dishonored his noble canine ancestors.

Samson is a Lab Retriever/Pit Bull mix available for adoption in Cookeville, TN through A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin’) Samson has a sweet, submissive temperament and a buttery-soft blue fawn coat! He is terrific with other dogs, cats and children! His dream home would be with a very active family who would give him lots of hours playing fetch in the yard, and evenings full of snuggling on the couch. Adoptable Fridays – KC

This is my 2 year old rescue foster Pug-Chihuahua, KC. Yes, she really pooped on the Vet Tech. It’s her way of saying she’s not happy. But, after airing her grievances (so to speak) KC relaxed and got a wonderful pawdicure.

KC is probably the cuddliest pug I’ve ever fostered. She is adoptable through Mid Atlantic Pug Rescue in Alexandria, VA. From the very start, all she wanted to do was cuddle next to me on the couch. She is very attentive to new commands and really wants to please. Her communication skills are great. She is nervous around some dogs and we’re working on that. She is responding well to training! She is also tentative around some people so we’re working on that too. We are training her everyday and she is learning so quickly and eagerly. Find her profile here.

Adoptable Fridays – Corona

If a big guard dog is what you’re looking for – keep looking. Happy girl Corona is a super sweet, laid back Rottie girl, approximately 1 year old who lives in Powell, OH and is being adopted out by Powell Paws. Despite her large size, she becomes mush in your hands at the slightest touch. She’s very submissive, intelligent and gets along very well with other large breeds. Corona also knows some very basic obedience (sit, lay down, come), and will gladly be at your side at all times. We are unsure of her background, but her foster family is currently working to expand her obedience and crate training. As smart as she is, she will be a perfectly well-behaved girl in no time!

Adoptable Fridays – Plato

Plato is a 3 year old Schnauzer Poodle mix looking for someone to play catch with in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He is being adopted out through Pomeranian and Small Breed Rescue. Plato’s anxiety is not as intense once he gets comfortable with his surroundings. He shares his home with three other dogs: two greyhounds and one chihuahua. Adoptable Fridays – Dobby

Dobby is a ~2-year-old daschund/italian greyhound mix from Lubbock, TX. He is being adopted through the Humane Society of West Texas. He is incredibly cuddly and will make an excellent lap dog. He is great with other dogs of any size and with cats. He is timid, however, and needs a home with no children. He is slowly being socialized to groups of people but still prefers a quiet setting with a few people who make him feel safe. This beauty is Monroe, she is from Arlington, VA and is adoptable through Homeward Trails Animal Rescue. Everyone wanted her picture at the hometown Mardi Gras parade, and she enjoyed greeting all the kids at the parade. As an energetic 2-year old, Monroe might make a good jogging partner, but she also likes to settle down for a good snuggle. Treasure is trying her very best pick-up lines to try to find a Valentine, but will she succeed? She is from Kanad, UT and is being adopted through Best Friends Animal Society. She is hoping you’ll see her not-so-hidden treasure when she comes unning to meet you, eager for your attention and petting. And if you have time to play ball, she’ll be even more delighted! Born in 2008, Treasure is a beautiful, super-sweet, silly girl. But she’s not good with other dogs or cats, so needs to find a home where she can be the only pet.
