I’ve found food gone from the table, trash out of a 33 gallon can without it being turned over, stuff off the stove and doxies staring at me with a “whut?” look. I think they throw out the grappling hooks when no one is looking. I’ve a front door with glass up to my waist and one of my doxie’s would be jumping high enough to see out of it.
Well I’ve definitely learned something! We almost got a doxie… but fell for an English bulldog. With perseverance I’m sure he could reach the counter but he knows better than to try!

You’re in the jailhouse now!

This is cute… but how does this happen? There is no way a dachshund can climb onto a counter by itself!

How did those little legs get up on the kitchen counter?
jaherbert
anyone doubting that a doxy can somehow find a way onto a kitchen counter, has never owned a doxy. they have more tenacity per pound than other breeds
Heather
That’s the truth. I came home one day and found mine on the kitchen table and all the chairs were pushed in. I still don’t have a clue how he did it.
Chrissie
My guess he went from a chair, to the garbage can across the dishwasher to the counter. I used to feed the cat on the dishwasher.
