My friend got his 45lb mini pit a 1 person foldable futon. Its’ all hers and takes up very little space when folded. The price of the futon was the same as the price of the 5 dog beds she destroyed. Well worth the money.
After spending $2000 to have the remains of his bed removed from his stomach, I ordered my dog a heavy canvas dog bed from Drs. Foster & Smith. I had owned one previously and it survived 8+years with my first black Lab who was a pretty determined chewer. My current dog had never chewed ANYTHING until he decided the bed looked yummy. Go big or go home, I guess.
Sharon – there is nothing wrong with crating. I don’t get why people on here have such negative comments sometimes. It’s a funny picture…laugh at it….this is supposed to be a lighthearted site.
Crating/caging your dog actually is healthier for their stress levels than letting them roam freely without any limitations. They consider the cage/crate their”den”, a peaceful, safe place. And our dogs, too, have eaten a bed or two as well! The pic is hilarious, although I cringed cause we’ve been there!!!!

I feel your pain!
I gave up on buying dogs beds for my kids after the 5th or 6th one. They just destroy them & seem to think MY bed is also there bed.

maybe the dog wouldn’t chew if he wasn’t in a cage

Crating usually helps keep the dog out of trouble. Good think my lab isn’t a chewer or his crate would look like that… lol
