Well, they look like Granny Smith apples, which I, personally, don’t like for just plain ‘eating’ (smother them in caramel or cook them in something and you’re on the right track) so I can’t say as I blame him. The only better target he could have had would have been Red Delicious apples (which the name is a lie because they may be red but they are far from ‘delicious’).
@Dawn, I was wondering the same thing, how did the pooch get on the counter…and has a look on its face like, “you brought more of those d@#* apples in this house didn’t you?!?”
One that I had when I was a teenager used to pee on the cloth-covered chairs. All the scolding did not stop him, so one time I praised him for it. He stopped.
My doxies get up on my counters and tables. I have to make sure all chairs are tucked in and have something on the chair seat. Even my blind doxie got up on the table. Luckily, I came to rescue him off the table as he couldn’t get back down.
Dachshunds may have short legs but make up for it with bigger brains! It’s nothing for one ours to figure out how to get on, around, through or under something! A table? That’s nothing!

Dear god. That is a mean dog.

Wanted to make sure the apple was pitched outside in the compost pile to grow a apple tree. The satisfaction of peeing on THAT!
pabrocb
They push a chair over, jump on chair, and then jump on the counter. Not all dachshunds are able to manage it, but some are.

omgosh. I don’t even understand this one! Hilarious!

My doxie used to get on the chair and then the table to pee at the place of whomever he was angry at.

He was telling, “Those apples belong on a tree whose root should be the yard where I can pee with freedom!”
Lily
Look at that FACE! Get a load of those apples!

I am so glad I am not the only one with a problem dachshund! Amazing what they can get away with by turning on the cute!
